Career quizzes are fun to take, but do they really help you find the niche you might be best suited for? Are these job tests just amusement or will you find merit in them
If you have never (or not recently) taken a Career Quiz, you should. It might help you find another path for your work, especially if you are feeling a bit too depressed with your present work situation, and will help you in determining your ability for varying work environments. Note that only free, no sign up required sites are listed in this article. Government Site for Career QuizzesCareer Navigator and Quizzes is offered by the Canadian Government, and actually has four initial quizzes ranging from work values to basic ability. Of course, you can easily tell from the questions what the career choice or results will be. And yes, it was accurate in its assessment of this author's abilities. Even better though is that this site offers a learning style quiz as well, which is not only fun, but applicable to understand what is the best way for you personally to learn. Top Rated Site for All Items Related to CareersMonster offers a great selection of quizzes and other tools to help you decide on a career path. In keeping with a more global format (as the world becomes a smaller place), Monster even has a Culture quiz to test your knowledge on local customs in different countries. You'll actually learn something while having fun! And on a more serious note, Monster offers a Resume Readiness quiz - where you can easily check your important document for its application to your chosen field. This site does not stop there either. You can even check out the "Discover Your Perfect Career Quiz" or take a "Marketing Interview" quiz. This site is highly recommended for any and all stages of career. In Contrast - Fun Site But Pop-UpsFun Quiz Cards.com is another free assessment site, and despite its name, it actually provides some excellent quizzes to help you determine what you want, what you'd be good at, and how to get there. Caution though. This site is filled with pop ups, and requests for surveys (which you can skip). Again, it is somewhat basic in its questions, but the list of quizzes actually helps you to decide and figure out some challenges at your work - such as "Are You A Work Slave". Different ApproachHere's one with a bit of a different approach - offered by ivillage in the uk, "What career will suit your personality" also takes into consideration your personal preferences as opposed to just your abilities. This site understands the added stress most people feel if the job and personal values do not jive together. Bottom LineCareer quizzes are not only fun, but a source of valuable information on what you might be best suited for. Think of these quizzes as a way to help you find your best suited career path. And always understand these are pop quizzes - your answers will (and should" change as you change - even daily!
